Set to be completed by 2030, the Akon City project has signed a $6 billion contract with KE International, a U.S.-based construction engineering firm. Singer and producer Akon has announced plans to create a futuristic city with his new crypto-currency, AKoin, at its core. After the first phase, the structural settings will include a hospital campus, a solar power plant, a waste facility, a school, hotels, residences and a mall. The plan for the futuristic crypto city was first announced by Akon in January. It will be established on an area of 2,000 hectares.
