We walked the entire 4km around the lake and it was so lovely. Since we were there last, many years ago, a walking track had been installed, a café/information centre/toilets near the Apex Lookout just off John Watson Drive. It is a short drive from the Mt Gambier CBD with parking available at a number of spots. Stayed here for the first time, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay (Stayed for 5 nights).
